2005 White House Conference on
Aging
Governor Pawlenty responds to National
Recommendations The 2005
White House Conference on Aging (WHCoA), held in
Washington D.C., in December 2005, produced a list
of strategies to address the needs and talents of
older Americans. State governors were asked to
respond to these recommendations and to identify
the issues and proposals that were highest
priority for their state.
Governor Pawlenty identified three
priority areas in which there is a likelihood of
positive change based on state action: Supporting
Communities; Evidence-Based Long-Term Care; and
Family Caregiver Supports.
