Beyond the Workday: Finding Balance For The Working Caregiver

Employee Assessment Surveys

It’s important to identify policies, benefits and services that fit best in your workplace and work environment.  And, it’s never too soon to be thinking about the future.  Employees may not pay close attention to caregiving resources until they are in need of the support.

Reviewing existing policies and assessing the unique needs of working caregivers is a good place to start.

Here are a few web-based surveys for employers to use as a guide:

Caring Workplace Survey is provided by St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors, a non-profit organization with Federal Administration on Aging grant funds.

Caregiver MN is an online resource that includes tools for employers, including resources to assist Spanish-speaking and Hmong caregivers.

Staff at Minnesota’s seven regional Area Agencies on Aging are also available to help direct employers and caregivers to additional resources.
