Survey of Older Minnesotans - Archives

2001 Issues Briefs - Worries and Concerns

Oldest Minnesotans not likely to worry about money

  • Survey respondents were more likely to be concerned about their children or grandchildren (52 percent worry "some" or "a lot") than they were to be worried about their own health (42 percent) or about getting older (35 percent). Concern about money matters is closely related to age - the older respondents worry less about money than younger people do.
