Scholarship Opportunities

The 2009 Age and Disabilities Odyssey conference can offer a limited number of need-based scholarships to attendees. We will consider applications from candidates who, in 2009, belong to one of the scholarship categories below:

  • Students (technical or community college students, 4-year college students, or graduate school students)
  • New professionals (people who have worked in aging or disability services for 3 years or less)
  • Professionals who are members of racial or ethnic minorities in Minnesota
  • Caregivers or volunteers who work with people who are aging or disabled
  • Participants of DHS services who are elders or people with disabilities

The maximum scholarship award will be $500. This will cover the conference registration fee of up to $220 plus reimburse the candidate’s actual documented costs up to $280 for hotel and/or travel.

Your request for a scholarship must be received by July 15, 2008. Scholarship awards will be on a first-come-first-served basis, so please get your requests in early. Your request will be reviewed and you will be notified if you are awarded a scholarship.
