Home Care

Home care services provide extra help

Whether you are a senior who needs a little extra help or a family members who wishes the senior has some regular, in-home assistance, there is help available.

Sometimes a person, who stops by regularly and offers assistance, or a person who helps with home chores, can make a world of difference.

Minnesota communities offer a variety of Homemaker and Home Care Provider services, which range from meal assistance, such as Meals-on-Wheels, to help with chores, to personal assistance such as bathing.

Finding a quality home care provider involves research.

Considerations for a home care provider may include:

  • the quality of care
  • staff expertise
  • availability of needed services
  • coverage of health plan, including Medicare or Medical Assistance

Your local Area Agency on Aging can assist you in determining the kind of service you are looking for and identify the appropriate home care provider.
