Accomplishments

  • Medicare FYI has increased Medicare consumer’s awareness of the
    extent of Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse; who they should call about
    suspected fraud, waste, or abuse; and state and national efforts to reduce
    health care fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Participants of the Medicare FYI presentations have stated they are
    more likely to review their Explanation of Medicare Benefits (EOMB).
  • The video, Medicare: Take Care of It So It Can Take Care of You!,
    received honorable mention at the 46th Annual Columbus International Film
    and Video Festival (Chris Awards) and is being offered through the Public
    Broadcast System’s Adult Learning Satellite Service.
  • Medicare FYI has built partnerships between the Minnesota Board on
    Aging, Medicare carriers, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, and
    health care provider associations.
