Emily Friedman is an independent writer,
lecturer, health policy and ethics analyst. She has written and lectured
throughout the United States in health policy, health care trends, the
social ethics of health care, issues associated with managed care, and the
public and health system relationship.
Ms. Friedman has written more than 600
articles and editorials, and is writing a history of health care in
Minnesota.

Connie Goldman is an
independent public radio producer, writer and national presenter.
Grounded in the art of storytelling, her presentations, books and
broadcasts inform, empower and inspire. Colleague Jim Lehrer of public
