Coping with Loss and Grief
Caregivers experience loss and grief in many ways.
A caregiver may not be able to do things that she used to
enjoy. She may not be able to travel as much, spend
time with family and friends, or do other things she enjoyed
doing. It is important to remember that coping with
loss and grief will keep you healthy and happy.
Caregivers may also experience loss and grief when the
individual they were caring for passes on. It is
important to develop a strong support network of family and
friends to help you grieve your loss.
The National Institutes of Health and U.S. National
Library of Medicine service called MEDLINEplus
provides comprehensive information on coping and stress.
