Medicare Bill passes Senate 54-44
Statement of the Board: The Minnesota Board on Aging
supports choices and the availability of options for seniors
and all Medicare Beneficiaries. The drug benefit provided in
the new Medicare bill passed by the House and Senate gives
consumers another option. The ability to make choices and
have the correct information about options is what helps
seniors and their families make good decisions about their
long-term care needs so that seniors can remain independent
and live at home.
In addition to what’s outlined in the Medicare Bill,
there are also other options available to assist people such
as RxConnect™, the state’s prescription drug clearinghouse
service for people who need help with their prescription
drugs.
