Start by asking yourself these questions:

"What location do I want?"

  • Familiar community?

  • Closer to family and friends?

  • Near church or faith community?

  • Close to convenient transportation?

  • Close to shopping and recreational activities?

  • Close to medical resources?

"What type of housing do I want?"

  • My own apartment?

  • Share a room?

  • A private home or a congregate (apartment) setting?

  • Private bathroom or shared bathroom?

  • Private kitchen or group dining?

  • Storage?

  • Security arrangements?

  • Garage or parking space for a car?

  • Pets?

  • Additional space such as a community room or guestroom?
